Capturing moments that reflect the beauty within people and places, Laurie McGowan's photography reveals life's preciousness.

Laurie has been practicing her art as a professional photographer and educator for many years. Her deep love of cultures and meeting new people drives her work. She exhibits internationally and has won many awards for her photographs. She has taught photo workshops in Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Morocco, and all over the US. She is the founder and director of La Collina Artist Residency.

About Laurie:
Photographer, Founder of La Collina Artist Residency, in Newcastle Northern Ireland and Tuscany, Italy, Sutri, Italy. 2023-present. Former Director of the Conant Gallery, Lawrence Academy, Groton, MA. Art Faculty, Teaching photography at Lawrence Academy in Groton, MA, 2006-2023. I had had the opportunity to work with students from all over the world and I have led workshops in Italy, Morocco, Portugal, Ireland, New Mexico and Colorado.
